OUR STORY

Ruby & Sapphies Doggy Daycare was created from pure love for pups and a dream to give them a fun, safe and happy space to spend their day. As a lifelong dog lover (and proud mum to Ruby and Sapphie!), I wanted a daycare that feels like a second home, full of enrichment, connection and good vibes.

At Ruby & Sapphies, we focus on calm leadership, kindness and plenty of play.

Every dog is treated as the unique little legend they are, and the goal is simple: happy pups who can’t wait to come back!

I am editing this entry again because we are loyal customers since the day this daycare opened as Happy Tails then Pure Pet and now Ruby & Sapphies. We are excited by the renovations and new ownership. Much TLC has gone into the overall creative refurbishment of this daycare and after the reno the interior will  be one of the most upmarket in the city. However, this place is great because of the wonderful women who have worked here over the years. I cannot begin to describe how satisfied I am with the care and love that they have shown to my son Duke and how they have successfully brought him out of his shell. He will scream with delight and tug my arm to get into this place and he will smile his head off upon pick up. Duke is so happy here. It is clean, safe, comforting and fun. It's like sending my kid to school. Without the dramas.

The lovely staff love our girl so much on the days we take her. Our dog is very anxious at times and it’s so nice to see her run in and having a good time with the daily photos and videos on instagram. We actually have a daycare around the corner from our new home but we make the drive because we just love the care our girl gets. Thank you Ruby & Sapphies Daycare!

What should I bring with my dog to daycare?

For most dogs, you only need to bring them along with their usual lead or harness. If your dog requires medication, special food or has any specific care requirements, please let our team know before their visit so we can make the appropriate arrangements.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated and desexed?

Yes. For the safety and wellbeing of all dogs attending Ruby & Sapphie’s, dogs must meet our vaccination and desexing requirements before joining daycare. Please contact our team if you have any questions about your dog’s eligibility.

What happens if my dog doesn’t get along with another dog?

Our team closely supervises the dogs throughout the day and pays careful attention to their behaviour and interactions. We aim to create compatible playgroups and provide dogs with space or rest when needed, helping maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

What does a typical day at doggy daycare involve?

A typical day includes a combination of supervised social play, enrichment activities, interaction with our team and scheduled rest periods. Rather than having dogs play continuously all day, we provide a balanced routine designed to keep them mentally stimulated, physically active and comfortable.

Can my puppy attend doggy daycare?

Daycare can be a fantastic way for puppies to build confidence, develop social skills and become comfortable around other dogs and people. Your puppy will need to meet our vaccination and other entry requirements before attending. Our free half-day trial is a great way to see whether Ruby & Sapphie’s is the right environment for them.
